Terms of Service

Referrd is software that professional referral groups use to track referrals between members, run meetings, record attendance and dues, and talk to one another.

Groups are licensed to organizations by Broosta. A group is set up by us, not created from inside the app. Members of a licensed group use Referrd at no charge to them; the group’s license is a separate agreement between Broosta and the organization.

You must be at least 18 and give accurate information when you sign up.

Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else has access to it, tell us straight away at hello@referrd.app.

Each group has one or more administrators, appointed by the organization. Within their group, administrators can approve and remove members, record attendance and dues, and moderate the group’s chat.

Administrators act for their organization, not for Broosta. Disagreements about membership, attendance or dues within a group are a matter for that group.

When you pass a referral you share details about another person — someone who has not signed up for Referrd. You are responsible for having the right to share them.

• Only refer people you have a genuine reason to believe would welcome it.
• Do not refer anyone who has asked not to be contacted.
• Do not enter sensitive information about a prospect that a referral does not need.

Referrd lets a group record whether members have paid their dues. It does not collect, hold or process any payment.

Any money you pay in dues is paid to your group, under your group’s own arrangements. Broosta is not a party to it and is not responsible for collecting, refunding or disputing it.

Do not use Referrd to:

• break the law, or help someone else break it;
• harass, threaten or impersonate anyone;
• send spam or unsolicited bulk messages;
• try to see information belonging to another group, or to someone you are not meant to see;
• scrape, copy or resell Referrd or its contents;
• interfere with Referrd’s security or performance.

We may suspend accounts that do any of these.

What you post on Referrd — messages, files, photos, profile details, referral notes — stays yours.

You give Broosta permission to store, copy and display it, only as needed to run Referrd for you and your group. That permission ends when your content is deleted, except where your group’s records depend on it, as described in our Privacy Policy.

You can stop using Referrd at any time, and ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@referrd.app.

We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or if your group’s license ends. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first.

Referrd is provided “as is”. We work to keep it available and correct, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. Referrd records referrals between members; it does not guarantee that any referral will result in business, and the business itself is between the people involved.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Broosta is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits or business, arising from your use of Referrd. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount, if any, you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top when we do, and tell you before any significant change takes effect. Continuing to use Referrd after that means you accept the updated terms.
